The goal of My Guitar School is to produce affordable and quality lessons for all ages and levels of experience. Together with all the MGM teachers, our desire is to inspire, stir and construct confidence and character in the lives of all our students which they can then take with them into their everyday lives. The method of teaching and course content was originally developed by Matthew Arthur, founder of My Guitar School and highly gifted teacher and performer for more than 20 years. His immense guitar experience has given My Guitar School a difficult and proven system of teaching that works, is merriment and an effortless way of learning for children, teens and adults. Through the musical guidance of our MGM teacher, the ensemble learns a set repertoire in preparation for performances throughout the year. A unique portion of our guitar, piano and vocal program is to construct confidence and ignite a passion for music in the hearts of our students as well as equip students to play and perform together in an ensemble with other instruments. Chris has been playing guitar for over 40 years. An crucial focus of our piano keyboard curriculum is to equip our students so they can play and. Present the student an opportunity to sing and perform with other singers and musicians in ensembles or bands. No we bear lessons to students of all levels of experience. We trust the best age for children to start learning guitar is when they reach primary school. It’s urgent that all students practice a minimum of 10 minutes a day at minimum 5 days per week when they start guitar lessons so that they get the most from their lessons. We want students to have mirth and appreciate the songs they are learning. In each lesson, the teacher will discard a segment of the lesson teaching theory and technique which are very important components of learning a musical instrument. Maximum of the boys looked so hopeful and seemed to be really enjoying themselves. We enjoyed not only Ben’s performance but enjoyed all the students. It was great to hear the music that these young people have learn the past year. Dominic is thoroughly enjoying his guitar playing and he practices constantly. Ben is enjoying his lessons there and enjoying playing the guitar as a leisurely pastime, not fair for practice. He currently plays in a live band setting at least twice a week. David has been playing the guitar for over 10 years and has 5 years teaching experience.
